“Ashen” (Cenizo) by Jon Mikel Caballero has won an award and “Bus Story” by Jorge Yúdice was one of the finalists: the results of the Festival Pacas 4.0 (Pedro Muñoz, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain)The Festival Pacas 4.0, which was held in the village of Pedro Muñoz (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain) in the recent weeks, has announced its awards: the short Ashen (Cenizo) by Jon Mikel Caballero has become one of the winners while Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice has earned a place in the final.

The Festival Pacas 4.0 Festival de Cortos Alternativo, which is annually held in Pedro Muñoz (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain), finished its most recent edition last Saturday 7th January with the awards gala. Two shorts promoted at film festivals by [ The House of Films ] faced this final gala in the short-list of candidates to the awards: Ashen (Cenizo) by Jon Mikel Caballero competed for the Best Short Film Award and Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice was nominated to the Best Acting Award of the Festival Pacas 4.0.

Although the results of this film competition have not officially announced yet, we have learnt that Ashen, the short by Jon Mikel Caballero, is one of this year's winners. Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero has won the José Francisco Rosado Best Short Film Award of the Festival Pacas 4.0 Festival de Cortos Alternativo of Pedro Muñoz. This recognition consists of a € 200 cash-prize.

Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero was one of the four candidates to this year's Best Short Film Award. Cenizo fought for this prize besides of the shorts Éxodo by Sergio Postigo Cruz, Hamburgo by Sergio Álvarez, and Para Sonia by Sergio Millán.

As Ashen has reminded on its facebook page, the short film directed by Jon Mikel Caballero has already earned, including this latest prize, 26 awards at Spanish and international film festivals.

In addition, Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero was also finalist in two more categories. The short film competed for the Jury's Prize and Jon Mikel Caballero was one of the candidates to the Best Screenplay Award.

For its part, according to available information, Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice has obtained one nomination for the Best Acting Award of the 2016 edition of the Festival Pacas. Àlex Maruny, one of the leading actors of Bus Story, was the professional who fought for this award. Maruny was nominated besides of David Crivillé for Indios y vaqueros by Emilia Ruiz, Javier Albalá for Gracias por venir by Ricardo Gómez, and Jimmy Shaw for Classmate by Javier Marco.

The awards gala of the Festival Pacas 4.0 was held on Saturday 7th January from 19:30 hours. During this ceremony, that took place at the "El Encinar de Haldudo" of Pedro Muñoz, up to 12 awards were unveiled: the José Francisco Rosado Best Short Film Award —won by Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero—, the Jury's Prize, the Best Documentary Short Award, the Best Animation Short Award, the Best Acting Award, the Best Comedy Short Award, the Best Soundtrack Award, the Best Screenplay Award, the Audience Choice Award, the Manuel Porrero Best Local Acting Award, the José Luis Pulpón La Guía Pacas Spirit Award (Premio Espíritu Pacas José Luis Pulpón La Guía), and the Best Local Short Award.

Congratulations to Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero for this new award. Congratulations to Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice too because it always attracts attention wherever it goes.
