The XII Festival de Cine y Vino Ciudad de La Solana 2016 (La Solana, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain) finished some weeks ago and the short film Duty (Deber), directed by Ángel Manzano, has been one of the winners of the current year.
The short Duty (Deber) by Ángel Manzano ha been the winner of the Audience Award of the XII Festival de Cine y Vino Ciudad de La Solana 2016. This festival held its activities from 2nd to 10th December 2016 in La Solana, a village in Castilla-La Mancha (a region of central Spain). During the nine days of the film festival, 42 finalists, including Duty, were fighting in the Official Competition.
The Airén Jury's Prize of the twelfth edition of this festival was given to the short Va banque, directed by Stefan Plepp. For its part, the short Sputnik by Vicente Bonet won the Premio + Capacidad during the closing gala. The best local short went to Hipopotasemia by Javier León.
The short film Duty, directed by Ángel Manzano, winner of the Jesús Onsurbe Audience Award of the current edition, completed the list of awards of the XII Festival de Cine y Vino Ciudad de La Solana. This awards consisted of € 700.
The director of Duty, Ángel Manzano, attended to the awards ceremony. Manzano thanked the recognition given by the festival and also dedicated this prize to his brothers, who collaborate with him in the company that has produced the short.
