The successful short film Ashen (Cenizo), directed by filmmaker Jon Mikel Caballero, has won one more film festival. It has been proclaimed the best short of the Festival Lizarra X-Treme of Navarre (Spain).
The Festival Lizarra X-Treme 2016 (Estella-Lizarra, Navarre, Spain) was held a few days ago. This film contest has selected the short film Ashen (Cenizo) by Jon Mikel Caballero and has also given its main prize to this story. Ashen by Jon Mikel has won the Best Short Film From Navarre Award of the latest edition of the Lizarra X-Treme.
The short Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero was part of the selection of finalists of the XI Concurso de Cortometraje Navarro / Nafarroako XI. Film Laburren Lehiaketa (Short Films From Navarre Competition) of the Festival Lizarra X-Treme 2016.
The final screenings of the IX Festival Lizarra X-Treme took place at the Casa de la Juventud / Gazteriaren Etxea María Vicuña of Estella-Lizarra last 26th and 27th December 2016.
Apart from the XI Concurso de Cortometraje Navarro / Nafarroako XI. Film Laburren Lehiaketa, won by Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero, the awards of the V Concurso de Vídeo Xtreme / V Xtreme Bideo Lehiaketa (Xtreme Video Competition) has also been announced. The festival, held by the local government of Estella-Lizarra, has also given awards to the short films Algo en común by Haizea Azpilikueta, Aldatu by Álvaro Jiménez, Asier Ibáñez & Mikel Delgado, Kurssuak by Fermín Pérez Larrea, and Mutilak soilik? by Aitor Echávarri in both categories.
