One more year two short films promoted at film festivals by [ The House of Films ] have been selected for taking part in the 2016 edition of the Premios Culturales de la Universidad de La Laguna —roughly, University of La Laguna Cultural Awards (La Laguna, Canary Islands, Spain). They are the story Ashen (Cenizo) by Jon Mikel Caballero and Don't Leave Me (No me quites), the short directed by Laura Jou and co-produced by Corte y Confección de Películas & Películas La Trini.

Specifically, Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero and Don't Leave Me by Laura Jou have been included in the selection of the XIV Premio Internacional de Cortometrajes de la Universidad de La Laguna 2016 (2016 University of La Laguna International Short Film Award), one of the categories of the Premios Culturales held by this academic institution.

The two shorts are going to be screened during the Muestra de Cortometrajes de la Universidad de La Laguna 2017, also called MIDEC 2017. This short film event, fed off the selection of the shorts competing for the Premio Internacional de Cortometrajes, has been provisionally scheduled coming May.
