The 3rd Cecehachero Film Fest (Mexico City, Mexico D.F., Mexico) has lined up two short films promoted by [ The House of Films ] in its 2018 selection: The Beetle At The End Of The Street (El escarabajo al final de la calle), directed by Joan Vives Lozano and produced by ESCAC Films, and Identidad, directed by Juan Carlevaris.

The third edition of the Cecehachero Film Fest is going to be opened today, Monday 16th April, and it will be closed on Saturday 21st. During the six days of this festival, the organizers have planned to show 86 short films and 4 full-length films, including both The Beetle At The End Of The Street by Joan Vives Lozano and Identidad by Juan Carlevaris. These two shorts are contesting in the Selección Oficial (Official Competition) of this Mexican festival, one of this year's competitions and the most numerous of all of them.

Identidad, the story directed by Juan Carlevaris, will start the screenings of the third edition of the Cecehachero Film Fest tomorrow, Tuesday 17th April. The short is going to be screened at 13:00 hours (UTC-5 CDT). The screenings venue will be the Sede CCH Vallejo of the Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), located in Mexico City.

For its part, The Beetle At The End Of The Street by Joan Vives Lozano is going to be exhibited coming Friday 20th April. This session will commence at 13:00 hours (UTC-5 CDT) and will take place at the same venue, the Sede CCH Vallejo.

The 2018 Official Competition of the Cecehachero Film Fest consists of 21 international short films. The candidates are:

  • Off Track by Antoine de Bujadoux (Chile / France),
  • Ambrosía by Sebastián Pulido (Colombia),
  • La proporción aúrea by Mariano Murguía (Mexico),
  • No pases por San Bernardino by Hugo Magaña (Mexico),
  • Evaporado by Jimena Muhlia (Mexico),
  • Las raíces del roble by Yesendi Zataraín & Daniel Hernández (Mexico),
  • Lucha by Eddie Rubio (Mexico),
  • Encarnación by Ricardo Castro (Mexico),
  • Soledad by Julio C. Hernández (Mexico),
  • Salvado de las aguas by Mario Mánica (Mexico),
  • Lo dulce de la vida by Horacio Romo (Mexico),
  • La cruz de agujas by Harry Montiel (Mexico),
  • The Beetle At The End Of The Street by Joan Vives Lozano (Spain),
  • Trabajadores temporarios by Nicolás M. Pintos (Argentina),
  • A la hora marcada by J. Luis Rivera (Mexico),
  • Adjodjados by Armando Wilcox (Mexico),
  • Reset by Rodrigo Martín Jaffe (Mexico),
  • Coiffeur by Nicolás M. Pintos (Argentina), and
  • 18h45 by Juan Vildósola & Theo Kaya (France / Mexico).

It should be noted that The Beetle At The End Of The Street and Identidad are the two only Spanish short films competing in this category of the festival.
