The short film Z Fest, directed David Cordero, has earned a place in the final of the Festival Sanse Cortos en Abierto, a competition which is taking place in the city of San Sebastián de los Reyes, near Madrid (Spain).
A few days ago, we have told you that Z Fest by David Cordero was about to participate in the second session of the 6th Festival Sanse Cortos en Abierto 2017-2018. This session was held last Friday 27th October in San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid, Spain) and the result could not be better for Z Fest. The short has been voted as the best of that night and has entered into the final competition of the sixth edition of the Sanse Cortos en Abierto.
As we have previously mentioned, Z Fest by David Cordero was one of the seven shorts that competed on Friday 27 during the second session of the sixth Sanse Cortos en Abierto. The seven candidates were exhibited at the Centro de Formación of San Sebastián de los Reyes from 20:00 hours (UTC+2 CEST).
After the screenings, the members of the audience voted the best short of that session. Each person had two votes that he or she could give to their two favourite shorts of last Friday's night. At the end of the recount, it became clear that Z Fest by David Cordero was the winner of the second session of 2017-2018 season.
Because of becoming most voted short on Friday's night, Z Fest by David Cordero has win a place in the final of the 6th Festival Sanse Cortos en Abierto. The final of the current sixth edition has been scheduled coming 18th May 2018. Only the most voted shorts of every session — and the festival has planned eight sessions— will fight for winning the Audience Award of this festival. To the date, obviously, there are just two finalists: Café nunca es café by Eduardo Ovejero and Z Fest by David Cordero.
