The short film Bus Story, directed by Jorge Yúdice, has been awarded at the International Student Film Festival Písek, which was held during last week-end in Písek (South Bohemia, Czech Republic).
The short Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice was competing during last days at the 16. Mezinárodní Festival Studentských Filmů Písek (Písek, South Bohemia, Czech Republic) —named in English, International Student Film Festival Písek. The festival, which opened last Friday 13th October, ended yesterday, Sunday 15th October. During the closing ceremony of the current edition of the MFSF Písek it was announced that Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice has become one of the winners of the year 2017.
Specifically, Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice has won the Audience Award of the 16. Mezinárodní Festival Studentských Filmů Písek. This award, decided by popular voting, consists of a CZK (Czech koruna) 5,000 cash-prize.
The Festival Písek, focused on short films produced by film students, has received over 400 submissions coming from 56 countries. Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice was one of the shorts submitted to this festival and, eventually, it was selected for competing in Písek from 13th and 15th October. In total, 32 short films were nominated for being part of the Official Competition of the MFSF Písek 2017.
Bus Story, the short directed by Jorge Yúdice, was exhibited last Friday 13th October at 10:00 hours (UTC+2 CEST). The venue where this screenings was carried out was the Kině Portyč, located in Písek.
The list of winners of the current edition has included the following awards:
- Grand Prix - Václava Kršky Award (Cena Václava Kršky): Vizsgálat by Tomás Fekete (Hungary).
- Award for the Best Narrative Film (Cena Za Nejlepší Hraný Film): Zle uczynki by Piotr Domalewski (Poland).
- Award for the Best Documentary Film (Cena Za Nejlepší Dokumentární Film): Озеро by Daria Blokhina (Russia).
- Award for the Best Animated Film (Cena Za Nejlepší Animovaný Film): Jsme přece lidi by Jan Míka (Czech Republic).
- Vladany Terčové Award (Cena Vladany Terčové): Tata by Nella Vasilevskaya (Belarus).
- Prague Scientific and Technological Society Award (Cena Pražské Vědecko-Technické Společnosti): Jsme přece lidi by Jan Míka (Czech Republic).
- Audience Award (Cena Diváků): Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice.
