The AgrofilmFestival 2013 (Asturias, Spain) gave two awards to the short film Inquietante, directed by David Fernández & Santi Suárez, late July. The short film Fuero by Juanma Juárez was also shown during the festival.
The short film Inquietante, directed by Spanish famous comedian David Fernández and TV producer Santi Suárez, won two awards at the first edition of the AgrofilmFestival (Rioseco, Asturias, Spain), held late July. Specifically, Inquietante won the Best Fiction Short Film Award and the Audience Award.
The 1st AgrofilmFestival 2013 took place in the Spanish village of Rioseco, in the northern region of Asturias, on 26th, 27th, and 28th July. This new festival had selected 8 competing films at this first edition. They were: El punto rojo by Darío José Ferrer & Carlos Sánchez Arévalo, El jinete austero by Nacho Albert, Inquietante by David Fernández & Santi Suárez, Alfred y Anna by Juanma Suárez, Project K-9, Hondo Mojave by Diego Cabezas, La matanza by Nacho Sánchez, and Piquinu by Sonia Fernández.
Apart from these shorts in competition, the AgrofilmFestival 2013 had selected several films out of competition. One of these out-of-competition films was Fuero by Juanma Juárez, that was screened on 27th July in Rioseco. In total, The out-of-competition films were four: Ser y no fue by Miguel A. Ojeda, La División Azul by Sergi Martí, Fuero by Juanma Juárez, and La playa by Elisa Cepedal.
At the end of this year's competition, the winners were announced. Besides of the Best Fiction Short Film Award and Audience Award to Inquietante by David Fernández & Santi Suárez, the Jury gave the Best Animation Short Film Award to the short Alfred y Anna by Juanma Suárez and the Best Documentary Film Award to Hondo Mojave by Diego Cabezas.
