Good news continue to arrive in the inbox of The Beetle At The End Of The Street (El escarabajo al final de la calle), the short directed by Joan Vives Lozano and produced by ESCAC Films. It has been announced that this short will be the representative of Spain in this year's Festival UNICA, which will be held in Blansko (South Moravia, Czech Republic).
One more achievement for The Beetle At The End Of The Street (El escarabajo al final de la calle) by Joan Vives Lozano. This short film will go to Blansko (South Moravia, Czech Republic) for taking part in the worldwide edition of the Festival UNICA, the 80th UNICA World Amateur Film Festival 2018, between 1st and 8th September.
This short film was recently competing in the 81st Certamen de Estatal de Vídeo No Professional Selectiu UNICA 2018 (Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain). This festival, which is held by the Centre Excursionista de Catalunya —literally, Catalan Excursionist Centre— and took place from 16th April to 2nd June, chose every year the Spanish representatives to attend annual event of the Festival UNICA. The Beetle At The End Of The Street by Joan Vives Lozano has been nominated this year to represent the Centre Excursionista in Blansko, the 2018 seat of this international film contest.
The UNICA Festival is a World Film Festival held by the Union International du Cinéma (International Film Union). This institution is a independent international organization, member of UNESCO, that supports film culture as a means of international communication. The first edition of this festival was in 1931 and it was only interrupted during the World War II. It is held in a different city every year.
