The short film Z Fest by David Cordero is going to be present during the Semana Corta de Cartagena (Cartagena, Murcia, Spain). In fact, this short is going to be screened just today, Thursday 31st May, during the opening day of this film event.
One more festival nomination for Z Fest by David Cordero and one more city where the filmgoers may enjoy this zombie story. Z Fest by David Cordero is going to participate in the screenings of the IX Semana Corta de Cartagena (Cartagena, Murcia, Spain) just tonight.
The screening of the short Z Fest, directed by David Cordero, is starting the sessions of the ninth edition of the Semana Corta de Cartagena today, Thursday 31st May. The light of the projector will be switched on tonight at 22:00 hours (UTC+2 CEST) and Z Fest may be viewed in the Barrio Los Dolores of Cartagena, specifically, a street called Tomás Blanca, next to the Casino Cultural de Cartagena.
It should be noted that, as the web site of this event explains, the Semana Corta de Cartagena is "a short film showcase which is distinguished by taking place on the streets and by encouraging discussions between short-filmmakers and the members of the audience". (In Spanish original, "una muestra de cortometrajes que se caracteriza por celebrarse en la calle y por fomentar el diálogo entre cortometrajistas y público asistente.")
The ninth edition of this short film showcase is a two-day event: it is beginning, as we have already pointed out, today, 31st May, and it will finish tomorrow, Friday 1st June. The IX Semana Corta de Cartagena is part of the IX Festival M+M (Mucho Más Mayo 2018) - Festival de Arte Emergente de Cartagena. The Festival M+M 2018 was launched last Friday 25th May and it will be closed on Sunday 3rd June.
Talking again about the Semana Corta, the showcase is divided into three sections: Cartagena (short films by filmmakers from Cartagena —local films), Región de Murcia (for filmmakers from other places in Murcia Region —regional films) and Abierta / Open (for the remaining filmmakers —Spanish films). The short film Z Fest by David Cordero, as is right and proper, has been included in the Sección Región de Murcia for regional filmmakers since the director of the film lives in Murcia region.
