The Mostra de Cinema Jove d'Elx (Elx / Elche, Valencia, Spain) has included the fiction short films Blind Letters (Cartas ciegas) by Ángel Jaquem and Rip Pole by Jorge Yúdice in its 2018 competition.
The short films Blind Letters (Cartas ciegas), directed by Ángel Jaquem, and Rip Pole, directed by Jorge Yúdice, are going to compete in the 2018 edition of the Mostra de Cinema Jove d'Elx (Elx / Elche, Valencia, Spain). These two shorts are going to participate in the XXI Mostra de Cinema Jove d'Elx from today, Tuesday 8th May, until coming Saturday 12th May.
44 Spanish short films, including Blind Letters by Ángel Jaquem and Rip Pole by Jorge Yúdice, have been selected to take part in the screenings programme of the Mostra de Cinema Jove d'Elx 2018. 8 out of the 44 finalists are local short films.
The short Blind Letters by Ángel Jaquem is going to be shown just today, Tuesday 8th May, from 21:00 hours (UTC+2 CEST). For its part, Rip Pole by Jorge Yúdice may be viewed tomorrow, Wednesday 9th. These two screenings, as well as all ones during the twenty-first Mostra de Cinema Jove d'Elx, will take place at the Espai Escènic of the CCCE L'Escoxador.

The festival will give 4,000 euros in prize money. The awards will be announced on Saturday 12th May from 21:30 hours (UTC+2 CEST).
