The opening day of the VIII Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes Gines en Corto has come and everything is ready in the town of Gines (Andalusia, Spain) for the 2018 short film competition. The short The Beetle At The End Of The Street (El escarabajo al final de la calle) by Joan Vives Lozano is also ready. This story has been selected and is going to taking part in the contest of the Official Competition of this Andalusian festival.

The festival, which is opening today, Thursday 26th April, and will finish coming Sunday 29th. During these four days, the Gines en Corto 2018 is going to be shown 32 shorts as part of the Official Competition, including of course The Beetle At The End Of The Street, directed by Joan Vives Lozano. 14 more short films will be shown in the "Sección Jóvenes en Corto", the young section of the festival. These shorts have been chosen from the 550 shorts that were submitted to the eighth Gines en Corto.

The Beetle At The End Of The Street by Joan Vives Lozano is going to be exhibited at the Teatro El Tronío, the official venue of this film event, tomorrow, Friday 27th April.
