The Sahar International Short Film Festival was held last Saturday in Oldham (England, United Kingdom). The short films Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice, Identidad by Juan Carlevaris, and The Drunkard's Walk (El andar del borracho) by Pol Armengol were taking part in this festival. The result? An award for each one.
The shorts Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice, Identidad by Juan Carlevaris, and The Drunkard's Walk (El andar del borracho) by Pol Armengol has swept in the latest edition of the Sahar Festival. The three films have been awarded by the 2017 Sahar International Short Film Festival #4, which was held on Saturday 25th November.
Let's go first with Bus Story and The Drunkard's Walk. The short films Bus Story, directed by Jorge Yúdice, and The Drunkard's Walk, directed by Pol Armengol, have received the ex-aequo Best Short Film Audience Award. They won more votes that any other film out of the 11 rivals of the International Competition of the 2017 Sahar Festival.
For its part, Identidad, the latest short film by Juan Carlevaris, was the winner of the Best Film Critic Award. This prize was also announced on Saturday 25th at the end of the screenings of the Sahar #4. The award also went to the short Rattling Fan by Pasang Dawa Sherpa.
The three short films, Bus Story, Identidad, and The Drunkard's Walk, contested in the international competition of this festival, consisting of 11 selected titles. The festival had nominated 20 short films in total that were all exhibited last Saturday at the Oldham Library Performance Space.
