The Festival Ull-Nu (Andorra la Vella, Andorra) is back one more year. One of the short films that are fighting during the current edition is The Drunkard's Walk (El andar del borracho), the film directed by Pol Armengol. The short is going to be exhibited in Andorra la Vella very soon.

One more year the Festival Ull-Nu de Andorra has selected a short film promoted at film festivals by [ The House of Films ]. The short The Drunkard's Walk (El andar del borracho), directed by Pol Armengol, is competing at the Festival Ull-Nu 2017, V Festival Audiovisual de Joves Creadors dels Pirineus. This festival is focused on films (fiction shorts, short documentaries, short animations, music films, and experimental shorts) produced in the regions close to the Pyrenees in Spain (Basque Country, Navarre, Aragón, and Catalonia), in France (Nouvelle Aquitaine and Occitanie), and of course in Andorra itself.

This year's festival opened its activities and screenings last Tuesday 14th February. However, the screenings of the shorts selected for competing in the fifth edition of the Ull-Nu will be done today, Friday 17th February, and tomorrow, Saturday 18th.

The short The Drunkard's Walk by Pol Armengol is going to be shown tomorrow, Saturday 18th February, during a session starting at 20:30 hours and ending at 21:29 hours. All screening of this film event, including the exhibition of The Drunkard's Walk by Pol Armengol, will take place at the Centre de Congressos d'Andorra La Vella.

The Fiction Official Competition of the 5th Festival Ull-Nu, where The Drunkard's Walk by Pol Armengol has been included, consists of six competing shorts. The candidates of the year 2017 are: Ringo by Adrià Pagès (Catalonia, Spain), En la azotea by Damià Serra (Catalonia, Spain), Nana by Marie Ceccon (Occitanie, France), Tiger by Aiana Clotet (Catalonia, Spain), Hubo un lugar by Irene Garcés (Catalonia, Spain), and The Drunkard's Walk by Pol Armengol (Catalonia, Spain).

Besides of The Drunkard's Walk and the remaining nominees of the fiction category, the festival has also nominated six documentaries. Their titles are: El divino by Sendoa Cardoso (Basque Country, Spain), Quand j'é tais petit by Elena Molina (Catalonia, Spain), Las pelotaris by Andrés Salaberri & Daniel Burgui (Navarre, Spain), Follo ergo sum by Sofia Esteve (Catalonia, Spain), The Perfect Protein by Catalina Barjau & Jorge Martínez (Catalonia, Spain), and Rana Tharu, des princesses dé racinées by Pierre Benais (Nouvelle Aquitaine, France).

The animation category is composed by six more films. The candidates in this section are: Selfie Cat by Georey Assie, Emeline Bernard & Elsa Divet (Occitanie, France), Roger by Arnau Gòdia, Sara Esteban Íngrid Masarnau, Martí Montañola & Sonia Cendón (Catalonia, Spain), Vous regardez un film by Jon Boutin (Nouvelle Aquitaine, France), Compta amb mi by David Casademunt (Catalonia, Spain), Keiro by Tatiana Juskewicz, Benoît Leloup, Franck Menigoz, Zoé Nérot & Charlotte Poncin (Occitanie, France), and El ángulo recto no existe by Jon Zurimendi (Basque Country, Spain).

Finally, the Festival Ull-Nu 2017 has one music film competition (6 films) and an experimental film competition (6 films). The selected music films are Oliver: Electrify by Alan Masferrer (Catalonia, Spain), Aaron Rux: My Private Dance Alone by Pablo Hernando (Basque Country, Spain), Lost American: Put Me In A Spell by Jordi Estrada (Catalonia, Spain), Antony & Cleopatra: Love Is A Lonely Dancer by Alan Masferrer (Catalonia, Spain), Guts: Peaceful Life by Sébastien Bellaval (Occitanie, France), and Vàlius i Carlota Serrahima: Mercè by Tuixén Benet (Catalonia, Spain). Por su parte, The Whirl by Eva Campos (Catalonia, Spain), Life is Flow - The End by Susanna Ferran (Andorra), My Doll by Jessone Morillon & Alexis Vigneault (Andorra), Just A Kid by Hèctor Prats & Marti Pavia (Catalonia, Spain), Aliens by Jiajie Yu Yan (Catalonia, Spain), and Plexus solaire by Sophie Bosselut (Occitanie, France) are the experimental films of the current edition.

This year's festival will be closed tomorrow, Saturday 18th, after the screening of The Drunkard's Walk by Pol Armengol. The awards gala will be held from 22:30 hours. The jury consists of Dani de la Orden, Desirée Guirao, Ane Lasa, and Anna Ginestà.
