Anonymous Namesakes (Homónimos Anónimos) by José Luis Santos Pérez, Bus Story by Jorge Yúdice, and Duty (Deber) by Ángel Manzano are currently competing in a new edition of the Festival de Cine y Vino de La Solana (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain) —roughly, La Solana Film and Wine Festival. The XII Festival de Cine y Vino Ciudad de La Solana 2016 started its activities just yesterday, Friday 2nd December.

Two of these three shorts are going to be shown tomorrow, Saturday 3rd December: Duty by Ángel Manzano and Anonymous Namesakes by José Luis Santos Pérez, the latter promoted by the catalogue Cantabria en Corto 2015 / Short Films From Cantabria 2015, supported by the regional government of Cantabria (Spain). The exhibition of these two shorts has been scheduled from 20:00 hours. Duty and Anonymous Namesakes are going to be screened again on Wednesday 7th December at 19:30 hours.

The first screening of the short Bus Story, directed by Jorge Yúdice, is planned on Sunday 4th December. This session will commence at 17:00 hours. The second show of Bus Story will be done on Wednesday 7th from 21:00 hours.

The Official Short Film Competition of the twelfth edition of the Festival de Cine y Vino La Solana has nominated 42 films in total. The festival will be nine days long, from Friday 2nd December until Saturday 10th. On 10th from 20:00 hours, at the Teatro Tomás Barrera, they will hold the closing gala and awards ceremony of the current edition.
