The short film Ashen (Cenizo) by Jon Mikel Caballero is going to Italy. This Spanish short is going to compete at the Young About International Film Festival - Festival Internazionale Giovani e Cinema, which is taking place in Bologna, from today onwards.
One more nomination won by Ashen (Cenizo), the successful short film directed by Jon Mikel Caballero. From today, Saturday 5th March, until 12th March, Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero is going to participate at the 10th Young About International Film Festival - Festival Internazionale Giovani e Cinema of Bologna (Emilia-Romagna, Italy). In fact, this short by Jon Mikel has been selected for competing in the Corti Internazionali In Concorso (literally, International Shorts In Competition), which is part of the Official Competition of this Italian film festival.
The international shorts competing in the tenth edition of the Young About Film Festival, divided in two programmes, will begin to be shown just today, Saturday 12th March, from 15:30 hours at the Cinema Odeon of Bologna. Precisely, the short film Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero is goinb to be exhibited for the first time at this festival during today's session. Ashen by Jon Mikel Caballero is going to be shown again on Saturday 12th March in two different sessions. The first screening is scheduled at 09:30 hours at the Cinema Odeon of Bologna while the second one is taking place at 15:30 hours at the Spazio La Virgola, located in Casalecchio di Reno, a small city near Bologna.
The Corti Internazionali In Concurso competition comprises 24 short films. The 2016 selection mixes international short films made by professional filmmakers and coming from Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Brazil, Croatia, and United Kingdom with Italian shorts filmed by high-school students. Besides of the competing short films, the festival is also showing a selection of the 10 Italian and foreign short films.
The 10th Young About Film Festival will be closed coming Saturday 12th March. The awards ceremony is scheduled on that day at 19:30 hours and is taking place at the Spazio Meno Male of Bologna.
