Rupestre Competes At Chester International Film Festival

The thirtieth edition of the Chester International Film Festival is opening today in the city of Chester (England, United Kingdom) and the animation short Rupestre, directed by Enrique Diego, will be there.
Rupestre, the animation short directed by Enrique Diego and produced by Perruncho Studio, is beginning its participation at one more film festival today, Tuesday 23rd February. To be more precise, Rupestre by Enrique Diego has been nominated for fighting in the Official Competition of the 30th Chester International Film Festival and it is going to be present in the historical town of Chester (England, United Kingdom) until coming 11th March.
The 30th Chester International Film Festival is holding an animation short film competition, called Animation Festival, which has already reached its third edition and where the Spanish español Rupestre by Enrique Diego is actually competing. The animation contest of the year 2016 consists of 10 international animation short films: Rupestre by Enrique Diego (Spain), Mr. Violet by Abbas Jalali Yekta & Mohammad Hossein Azam Pour (Iran), ME + HER by Joseph Oxford (USA), Print Your Guy by Alwin Leene, Sarah Barry, Quentin Cornillon, Laura Gisselaire, Lucas Scheurer & Thomas Sigaud (France), Orbit by Francesca Pich (Italy), The Orchestra by Mikey Hill (Australia), Supermarket by Rastko Kukić (Serbia), Golden Egg by Srinivas Bhakta (Singapore), The Last Day by Muqing Shu (China), and Wojtek - The Soldier Bear by Marianna Raskin (Israel). These 10 finalists have been nominated among over 120 shorts submitted to the current edition.
The animation Rupestre, directed by Enrique Diego, is going to be shown just today, Tuesday 23rd February, from 22:00 hours during a session which is also going to exhibit the full-length film Relatos salvajes by Damián Szifron (Argentina) and the animation short —participating in the Animation Festival too— Mr. Violet by Abbas Jalali Yekta & Mohammad Hossein Azam Pour (Iran). The screening of Rupestre is taking place at Chester St. Mary's Centre.
The winner of the 3rd Animation Festival of the 30th Chester International Film Festival will be chosen by audience voting. Each night the people attending to the screenings will vote their favourite short and the winner of the 2016 Audience Prize will be decided on Friday 11th March during the final gala of the 3rd Animation Festival .
Besides of the animation contest, this year's Chester Film Festival is showcasing 6 full-length films.
