Euthanas Inc. Went To Festival Of Miguelturra

“Euthanas Inc.” (Eutanas SA) by Víctor Nores at the Festival de Cortometrajes de Miguelturra (Castilla-La Mnach, Spain)The Festival de Cortometrajes de Miguelturra (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain) is back once again. This year the festival has selected the short film Euthanas Inc. (Eutanas SA), directed by Víctor Nores and produced by Borja de la Fuente.

Euthanas Inc. (Eutanas SA) by Víctor Nores, produced by Borja de la Fuente, is still going across Spain from one festival to another. Yesterday, Saturday 15th November, this short was screened at the II Festival de Cortometrajes de Miguelturra Corto Cortísimo (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain). Initially, they had informed that Euthanas Inc. will be shown today, Sunday 16th, and not yesterday, Saturday 15th.

Indeed, the whole plans of the II Festival de Cortometrajes de Miguelturra have deeply been changed. This second edition did not start yesterday, Saturday 15th November, as they had been announced, but on Friday 14th. That day, the documentary Ecuador, con los ojos cerrados by Daniel Chamorro was exhibited. Nonetheless, the screening of competing shorts began yesterday, but in a rather different way: the II Festival de Cortometrajes de Miguelturra has organized a local and regional short film competition and a Spanish national short film competition.

So, yesterday, Saturday 15th November, the 18 finalists of Spanish competition, including Euthanas Inc., the short about euthanasia starring Amparo Baró, were shown. Hence Euthanas Inc. by Víctor Nores was screened yesterday at 18:00 hours at the Teatro-Cine Paz of Miguelturra.

The 18 finalists of the Spanish competition nominated for the 2014 Festival de Cortometrajes de Miguelturra were: Democracia by Borja Cobeaga, Peter Pan by Imanol Ortiz, Eladio y la puerta interdimensional by María Giráldez & Miguel Provencio, Iniciación a la fotografía by Nico Aguerre, Cuerdas by Pedro Solís, El lado frío de la almohada by Herminio Cardiel, A2042 by David Castro González, Arconada by Asier Urbieta, Celebraciones by Paz Piñar, Nadador by Dani de la Orden, A rastras by Romás Reyes, El señor del abrigo interminable by Victora Sahores Ripoll, Ciclo de la naranja by Fernando Villena, Estocolmo by Álvaro Martín, Dios por el cuello by José Trigueiros, Euthanas Inc. by Víctor Nores, Hay dos clases de personas by Eva Moreno & Juan Carlos Vellido, and Tryouts by Susana Casares.

For its part, the local and regional short film competition consists of eight finalists that are going to be shown just today. The eight shorts of this section are: No Return by José Vicente Romero, Don Boyeur by David Ayllón Berdugo, La justicia de Dios by Alfonso Moya de la Rubia, Asco by Fernando G, Pliego, Escolofrío by Manuel Cruz, Flesh by David Barco Martínez, Encerrados by Jesús Rizaldos Hernández, and Silencioso como pájaro en invierno by Gary Cruz.

The winner of the Spanish competition will win the Audience Award, a € 250 cash-prize, voted by the public. A similar award will be given to the winner of local competition.
