The FESCIGU, Festival de Cine Solidario de Guadalajara (Guadalajara, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain), has selected the short films Namesakes Anonymous (Homónimos Anónimos) by José Luis Santos Pérez, The Cake (La tarta) by Fernando Sánchez, Ashen (Cenizo) by Jon Mikel Caballero, and Don't Leave Me (No me quites) by Laura Jou. The four shorts are taking part in this Spanish festival from today, Tuesday 4th October.

The Festival de Curtmetratges K-lidoscopi (Cullera, Valencia, Spain), which was closed yesterday, Sunday 2nd October, has just announced that it has given two awards to the short film Ashen (Cenizo), directed by Jon Mikel Caballero.

The animation Rupestre by Enrique Diego and the fiction shorts 600$ by Oriol Cardús, Fall In! (Formen fila) by Raúl Mancilla, and Ashen (Cenizo) by Jon Mikel Caballero are goingo to be shown in the town of Cerdanyola del Vallès (Catalonia, Spain). This screening are held by the festival [C] SCREEN.

The Festival de Cortometrajes de Alfaro has reached its third edition selecting the short films One Step Ahead by Trueba brothers and Ashen (Cenizo), directed by Jon Mikel Caballero. Both short films are going to be screened this week-end.

Great news have arrived from Argentina: the short films Ashen (Cenizo) by Jon Mikel Caballero —coming from actress Ainhoa Tornero— and Voyage Spatial (Viaje espacial intergaláctico) by Guillermo A. Chaia have achieved recognition at the Festival Fantástico Mar del Plata.
