The Setback By Gonzalo Perdomo, Awarded At Festival de Cortos de Sobaquillo

Gonzalo Perdomo has won an award at the Festival de Cortos de Sobaquillo (Spain) for its latest short film The Setback (El revés), starring famous Spanish actors Mikel Tello and Patricia Urrutia.

Some weeks ago, we were informed that Víctor Suñer had won the Audience Award for its short film Memory. Now we have being notified that the short film The Setback (El revés) by Gonzalo Perdomo has been awarded at the 1st Festival de Cortos de Sobaquillo (Valencia, Spain) as well. Namely, The Setback by Gonzalo Perdomo has won the Second Prize at this Valencian film competition, worth € 200.

The whole list of winners at the 1st Festival de Cortos de Sobaquillo includes the following shorts:

• First Prize for Viejos perdedores by Rubén Ordieres.
• Second Prize for El revés by Gonzalo Perdomo.
• Third Prize for Vicenta by Sam.
• Audience Award for Memory by Víctor Suñer.
• Jury's Special Consolation Award for Friendsheep by Jaime Maestro Sellés.

The awards ceremony is going to take place on Saturday September 29th at 20:00 hours in Valencia.

The Festival de Cortos de Sobaquillo was holding its first edition during the months of February, March, April, and May of the current year. In late May, they unveiled the Audience Award had gone to Memory by Víctor Suñer. In mid July, they published the list of winners on the website of the festival.
