The Discarded To Mostra de Cinema Social Ciutat d’Alcoi

The Discarded (En mal estado) by David Delicado Adsuar & Juan Antonio Delicado Adsuar is going to participate at the Mostra de Cinema Social Ciutat d'Alcoi, which is starting today, 6th November, in Alcoy (Valencia, Spain).

The drama about unemployment The Discarded (En mal estado), directed by David Delicado Adsuar & Juan Antonio Delicado Adsuar, suits perfectly in the screenings programme of social films of the Primera Mostra de Cinema Social Ciutat d'Alcoi (Valencia, Spain). This first edition of the Mostra de Cinema Social of Alcoy is opening today, 6th November, and it is going to be closed coming Saturday 9th November.

This film exhibition has included 23 competing short films, among them The Discarded by David Delicado Adsuar & Juan Antonio Delicado Adsuar, which is going to be screened on Thursday 7th November at 19:30 hours at the Centro Cultural Mario Silvestre.

The whole list of competing short films is the following one: Quien lo iba a decir – Somniphobia by Fernando Amador, Abuelito, ¿te acuerdas? by María Dolores Cantero León, Abstenerse agencias by Gaizka Urresti, Mi ojo derecho by Josecho de Linares, Vocabulario by Sam Baixauli, Reencuentro by Juan Luis Moreno Some, La carga by Eduard Costales, Abril by Víctor Palacios, Poesía carnal by Guillermo Alcalá, Malawa by Junaid Iman, Como solo ella lo hace by Ángel Puado Beloso, A Londres by Alberto Gallardo Ortíz, Visión de un delincuente by Carlos Lidón, Un lugar mejor by Marisa Crespo Marín, Ahaztutako Denboraren Mapa by Alberto Gastesi, Intercambio by Maxi Belloso, The Discarded by David Delicado Adsuar & Juan Antonio Delicado Adsuar, La mirada perdida by Damián Dionisio, Ngutu by Felipe del Olmo y Daniel Valledor, 311 euros by Untalmiguel, No hace falta que lo digas by Julio Montejo & Manu Montejo, Copenhague by Luis María Ferrández, and Sueños para todos by Luigi Doto.

They have also scheduled a documentary competition that includes 7 works: El planeta ciego by J. J. Salsoso, Una vida inesperada by Gaizka Urresti, La flor de la canela by María Sánchez Teston, Jenin – Gilbola by Jacobo Echevarría Torrers, El efecto amor by Kiko Navarro, and Fron Daun Till Dusk by Basak Calioglu.

The awards given by this film festival, all of them cash-prizes, are: the Best Short Film More Than 4-Minutes Long Award, the Best Short Film Less Than 4-Minutes Long Award, the Best Documentary Award, the Best Female Actress, the Best Male Actor, the Best Screenplay Award, the Audience Special Award, and the Best Background Acting in Film Productions in the Province of Alicante (Alcoy is located in the province of Alicante). Additionally, they are going to given an Honour Award to those who have worked for film production in the province of Alicante.

The closing gala is scheduled on Saturday 9th November from 19:30 to 21:00 hours at the Casa Cultural Mario Silvestre of Alcoy.
