Voyage Spatial (Viaje espacial intergaláctico), the space short film by Guillermo A. Chaia, has become the winner of the competition of the first Certamen de Cortometrajes del Espacio y Ciencia-Ficción, held during this week-end in Yebes (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain).
During this week-end, they have been carrying the first edition of a new film festival, focused on space science-fiction, in Yebes (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain). This new film contest could not be better for the short film Voyage Spatial (Viaje espacial intergaláctico) by Guillermo A. Chaia. Voyage Spatial has become the winner of the First Prize (Special Jury's Prize) to Best Short Film of the I Certamen de Cortometrajes del Espacio y Ciencia Ficción Yebes-Valdeluz 4661.
The short film Voyage Spatial by Guillermo A. Chaia was screened last Friday 15th September at the Biblioteca de Yebes-Valdeluz, a public library located in Yebes. Up to seven Spanish short films, including Voyage Spatial, were shown during that session, the only one of this opening edition.
The candidates of this first year of the Certamen Yebes-Valdeluz 4661 were:
- Artificial by David P. Sañudo,
- Einstein-Rosen by Olga Osorio,
- Marcianos de Marte by Fernando Trullols,
- Sputnik by Vicente Bonet,
- The App by Julián Merino,
- Voyage Spatial by Guillermo A. Chaia, and
- Vostok by Miquel Casals.
The First Prize given to Voyage Spatial by Guillermo A. Chaia was unveiled last night during an awards gala at the Biblioteca de Yebes-Valdeluz. After the awards announcement, the winning short was screened again by the organizers of this festival.
This award, the First Prize of the I Certamen de Cortometrajes del Espacio y Ciencia Ficción Yebes-Valdeluz 4661 consists of a € 300 cash-prize earned by the short Voyage Spatial.
