“600$”, the short film by Oriol Cardús, is competing at the MIFF of Milan (Italy)The short film titled 600$, directed by Oriol Cardús, has been selected for competing in a new special edition of the Film Festival Internazionale di Milano (Milan, Italy).

The Spanish short 600$ by Oriol Cardús has earned a new festival nomination and it is going to compete in the recently-opened XV Edizione del Film Festival Internazionale di Milano (Milan, Italy). This a very outstanding selection because this year's festival is quite special. The fifteenth edition of the MIFF of Milan will be held from 11th May until 18th October. The reason is that the Expo of Milan is taking place there during year 2015.

On the other hand, the nomination of 600$ by Oriol Cardús is also special because there are only four international short films had been selected for the "Cortometraggi oltre 15 min. fino a 30 min. max - Internazionale" category, devoted to international short films between 15 and 30 minutes long. The four candidates are: Jaya by Puja Maewal (India / USA), 600$ by Oriol Cardús (Spain), Noticed by Limor Diamant (USA), and Devaste by Alfred Dong (China / Thailand / USA).“600$”, the short film by Oriol Cardús, is competing at the MIFF of Milan (Italy)

The "Cortometraggi oltre 15 min. fino a 30 min. max - Internazionale" section is not the only category in this film contest. The festival has selected 10 international short films (including the four ones in the "Cortometraggi oltre 15 min. fino a 30 min. max - Internazionale") and four additional Italian short films. The selected international short films are: De Smet by Thomas Baerten & Wim Geudens (Belgium / Netherlands), Hotel 22 by Elizabeth Lo (USA), Knopka by Maja Costa (Germany), Dad's Dead by Robert Putka (USA), Incognito by Jeremiah Quinn (United Kingdom), Victory's Short by Mika Ela Fisher (France), Jaya by Puja Maewal (India / USA), 600$ by Oriol Cardús (Spain), Noticed by Limor Diamant (USA), and Devaste by Alfred Dong (China / Thailand / USA).

It should be highlighted that 600$ by Oriol Cardús is the only Spanish short film nominated for competing at the XV Edizione del Film Festival Internazionale di Milano.

Besides of the short film categories, the festival is also presenting an Italian full-length film competition, an international full-length film competition, and an Italian TV competition.

Despite of the festival having already begun, the screenings of competing shorts a concurso are not scheduled until 16th October, according to the planned calendar. The short film competition awards will be announced on 18th October. We will keep you informed about this event.
